Oh I Do Adore Spring!

Early this Spring I was in a garden center at one of our local stores. I met a lovely Persian woman who reminded me of planting bulbs in glass vases. In her culture this is a way they celebrate the new year. This reminded me of a Better Homes and Garden magazine I had read years ago. I remember thinking what a fabulous way to bring the true essence of Spring indoors. Recently I learned after they have run their course indoors you must plant the bulbs outside so that the remaining leaves can soak in all the energy it needs from the sun for the next year. In any case this is a charming way experiences the beauty of Spring.
